It might be a good time killer to mess around with and try to see what rules can be broken, but I don't see anyone aimed at the target audience enjoying it more than the three hours stated previously.Get a video game review of Ataris Backyard Skateboarding PC video game. Any story to find here is minimal at best, Andy Mac and several of the backyard kids are skating around completing challenges so that a new skatepark can be built for them to enjoy. Speaking of, you can use those controls to pull off feats like being able to jump continuously from a half pipe and being able to grind an infinite amount of time if you are able to become the master of Backyard Skateboarding controls like me. It isn't fun to do that unless you're trying to screw with physics and logic. They can work for simple tricks, but more complicated ones will leave anyone mashing the buttons to pull them off fast enough.
The controls in that you use the C, V and B keys along with the arrow keys to pull off flips, grabs and grinds respectively. My biggest two complaints come from the PC's controls and wonky physics.
But in those hours he or she might find a bit of fun completing challenges and grinding all over the place. A child can play through the game in about three hours, sure. I was wrong, there are levels in the game that have some idea of what they want to accomplish and game play is not broken. Nevertheless, my original critique of the game looked at it as a broken mess with few redeemable factors. Yes, this time they are grabbing skateboards and throwing out a few bits of lingo that has been out of style by the time it came out.

My son could move around better in Tony Hawk Pro Skater when he was 3 then he can with this game at 4.5 yrs. Also, controlling your skater is awkward. With so many controllers available for a PC, I can't see how you can create a game without the basic functionality of being able to remap the controls. I have a pretty standard gamepad (Microsoft Sidewinder) and the buttons assigned to it are pretty funky. One of the big complaints I have about the game is you cannot change your controller configuration and of course, the controls are laid out differently from the default Tony Hawk setup. This game kinda skews away from how Tony Hawk works which made it hard for him at first. My son loves playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2/3 on the computer and I thought this would be great for him as the Tony Hawk series can get kinda tough for a 4 year old.
